TIME’S UP…
There wasn't enough time. There just wasn't enough time. My relatives in Pangasinan rewound and replayed the events of the past day, over and over in their minds.they simply could not hold on to each other  and cling to a tree at the same time. Not for the lack of trying, though. Fortunate than not, they were stucked on their roof. They  just weren't strong enough to fight the current. The water rushed in so quickly that they hardly had time to think. In fact, they didn't think. They just reacted.
Jr, being the oldest among the boys, was the one who sacrificed to the raging torrent. He was ok. . .well, about as ok as a 15-year old boy could be under such circumstances. He was a brave boy. Braver than most men would have been. His lower lip quivered only once when he looked into the terrified eyes of his 6-year old niece, Mia.
He let his family stay over their roof since they were not all able to be in it. Since cars and trucks werent able to come over their place, he did swim over the strong flood. He tried to cling on a tree and call for their rescue. After several hours,  they were already saved… thanks to Him!
It has been an unforgettable experience for my tita and cousins., especially to my brave cousin. Now, they had fixed their damaged properties and they’re all ok.
